Cowichan River Bungalow
This home was constructed to the client’s specifications to:
Incorporate the use of cedar in shingles and beams, both on the inside and outside of the home. Cedar represents the tree of life, and is considered to be culturally significant.
Incorporate the colour of Salmon on the exterior of the home. Salmon are greatly revered and respected by Indigenous Peoples, and represent life, abundance, prosperity and nourishment.
Include a custom half bathroom with a direct entrance from the exterior of the home to allow for easy access during times of large outdoor family gatherings.
